No regrets.. I use a lot of 2D art applications. Photoshop CS6, Corel Painter 2019, ArtRage 4, Autodesk Sketchbook, Marmoset Hexels 3, Aseprite, ProMotion NG, Spriter, Black Ink, etc.While this might not come close to those programs in certain areas it is hands down one of the most responsive programs I've used. Works really well for sketching as there is virtually no input lag using my UGEE tablet and stylus. Most other programs have quite a bit of input lag especially when trying to draw multiple lines in rapid succession as you would when sketching.Finally a program that can keep up with my frantic pen strokes! :D. The software is very nice and easy to use. I'm new to making art on a computer, so I can definitely say that it's well suited for people who are just now trying digital art. There are a few problems I've had where the menus and the drawing space won't show up and sometimes I can't exit out of the program, but other than that, the program is really good and is a better alternative to buying drawing software and photo editing software because it's practically a combination of both. It's a little expensive, but it's absolutely worth it.. Good but id rather not to buy that now when you just started drawing with a tablet. This programm is more an advanced design tool. But i can say it is a very well made software. I've been using openCanvas for years. This is the first new version I have bought in quite some time. Some quick key shortcuts are gone that should be added back. Namely Dodge/Burn and Fingertip. Those quick keys work in version 6, but since they've changed the brush engine, they need to update this. Also, what would be nice is a running tab of the last 5 brushes you have used.I like the darker interface. It seems to run quicker than version 6. I don't have a Wacom Intuos Pro so I can't test the barrel rotation, but if that's working, then I'll likely get one or a Cintiq. This is the first app I've bought on Steam.. Honestly for the one time payment I absolutely love it and totally reccommend it, the only down side that Ive noticed is the blur tool ♥♥♥♥s up and uses so much CPU. I have a i7-8086k and if i let it reach 85% or more cpu usuage it crashes so when im blurring i have to constantly save. It also reminds me of photoshop with the whole darkened UIBesides the blur tool, bug?, glitch?, its really worth the $72 (CAD) pricetag. 8/10. With most drawing software (OpenCanvas 6 included), creating artwork with the software is usually very enjoyable. With this, it is very tedious and not fun. The UI looks very nice, but trying to navigate through menus is annoying and hard. The drawing itself is quite delayed too.I'll definitely re-visit OpenCanvas 7 in a year or so to see if it's improved, but right now I feel that £45 is definitely not worth it..
